Good afternoon CMS Families:
Due to Governor DeWine's updated executive order we are unable to proceed with locker clean-out and supply pick-up as planned as he expressly announced that school buildings are to remain closed. We have presented our plans for safety and cleanliness for review by Geauga Public Health, but at this time we are unable to proceed with this process as planned.
The logistics of staff "bagging" student items like what is happening at Park and Munson is a very different undertaking at the middle school. Students have items in multiple classrooms throughout the building based on their class schedules, as well as possibly in gym lockers. Many students store personal items in their lockers which creates an additional variable of liability for staff who may be packing items.
We will review our options and continue to communicate with you as plans are reworked. Thank you for your continued understanding during these unprecedented times.
