Spread of COVID-19 is currently happening in our community. This is why it is so important for all students and staff to adhere to the key public health prevention strategies to reduce the chance for transmission of COVID-19.
We appreciate your practice of healthy habits to help keep yourself and others safe to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community and schools. What happens in our community impacts learning for students in our schools.
COVID-19 DATA DASHBOARD
The Chardon Local Schools dashboard is updated at the end of the day on weekdays (with the exception of holidays when our buildings are closed). As time-stamped in the tables below, the dashboard was last updated on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 3:54 P.M.
POSITIVE CASE DATA
QUARANTINE CASE DATA
NOTE: The COVID-19 dashboard is one of two communication tools used by the district to notify families and staff of COVID-19 positive cases. First and foremost, families and staff are notified by Blackboard Connect email (daily, or less/more often as needed) as new positive cases are reported to the district and recorded by the district in real-time.
The purpose of the dashboard above is to provide a daily summary of positive cases and quarantine cases with breakouts by 1) students and staff; 2) school buildings; and 3) active and year-to-date cases.
Please note that a positive case in your student's school building does not necessarily mean that your child has been exposed to the virus. Each case of COVID-19 is investigated by a public health official from the Geauga County Health Department. If the Geauga County Health Department contacts you as part of a COVID-19 investigation, please cooperate fully to ensure the safety and health of our entire community. If you are not directed to quarantine by your child's school or the Geauga County Health Department, your student is clear to attend school.
