Chardon Middle School students to perform in All-State Children's Chorus at OMEA Conference

Feb. 4, 2025 (CHARDON, OH) — This weekend, the Cleveland Convention Center is hosting the Ohio Music Education Association's Professional Development Conference. Thousands of music educators from around the state will participate in performances, networking opportunities and nearly 300 sessions led by nationally renowned master teachers. These sessions will showcase cutting-edge, research-based best practices in music education. This conference is among the largest state-level music conferences in the nation.

Six Chardon Middle School students have been selected to perform in the All-State Children's Chorus at the OMEA Conference this Thursday, Feb. 6, at 5 PM.

This special performance is open to the public!

Fourth graders Philip Streiff, Kate McCloskey, Madi Mottice and Mae Stansberry, along with fifth graders Meredith Wahl and Celeste Gedeon, have spent January rehearsing alongside students from the Northeast Ohio region in preparation for this event. They will join more than 130 talented young singers from across Ohio, all chosen through an audition process.

Music teachers Mrs. Samantha Puterbaugh and Mrs. Vanessa Allen are excited to attend and support their students in this incredible musical opportunity. A heartfelt thank you to the Chardon Crescendo Club for sponsoring our students' participation!

Please join us in wishing our students well as they represent Chardon in the All-State Children's Chorus!
