CHARDON LOCAL SCHOOLS APPOINTS NEW MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

Chardon, OH July 6, 2022 - The Chardon Local Schools extends a warm Hilltopper welcome to Mr. Adam Tomco who will join the Chardon Middle School administrative team as Building Principal, effective August 1. Mr. Tomco served as Assistant Principal at CMS for four years and most-recently was the district’s Supervisor of Business Affairs in 2021-22. The Board of Education approved the appointment of Mr. Tomco during a special board meeting on June 27.

Mr. Tomco thanked the Board for the opportunity to lead the Chardon Middle School and expressed his commitment to continuing the strong programs at the school, as well as working with staff, students and parents to develop new opportunities for students.

Board of Education members unanimously approved the appointment and welcomed Mr. Tomco to his new role in Chardon Schools. They noted the importance of continuity of leadership at the middle school and appreciate Adam’s continuing commitment to the district.

Superintendent Michael Hanlon said the district is pleased to have Adam join our team in his new capacity. His experience and preparation will contribute to an effective transition into the position. During the interview process, he shared an enthusiasm for working with students and staff and advancing the mission of our school district. His prior leadership experience at the middle school is an asset and will promote a smooth transition.

Adam is a Painesville Township resident and active in coaching youth sports.

Mr. Tomco will assume responsibilities as CMS Principal beginning August 1. The district is also pleased to report that Ms. Tracy Paroubek will continue in her role as CMS Assistant Principal in the upcoming school year.
