Board of Education Approves
Tomco as Chardon High School Principal
CHARDON, OH (May 20, 2024) – Chardon Schools is pleased to announce that it has named Adam Tomco as Principal at Chardon High School, effective August 1, 2024. The Chardon Board of Education voted at the May 20, 2024 regular BOE meeting on the approval of Mr. Tomco as Principal of CHS.

“Following the District’s comprehensive candidate search and extensive interview process to fill the principal position, we are pleased to be welcoming Mr. Tomco, a proven leader in our District, to the high school helm,” said Superintendent Mike Hanlon.
Mr. Tomco has served as Principal at Chardon Middle School since 2022. Prior to his role as Principal, he was the Assistant Principal at CMS for four years and previously held the position of Business Affairs Supervisor for the District. He is a Painesville Township resident and is active in coaching youth sports.
“During his tenure with Chardon Schools, Mr. Tomco has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, a rapport with staff and students, and a commitment to our mission of high achievement for all students,” said Superintendent Hanlon.
Mary Pat Pavicic has served as interim principal of CHS since February 21.
“Ms. Pavicic has been a dedicated administrator at the high school both in the interim position and previously as an assistant principal at the school since 2022,” said Superintendent Hanlon. “She has accepted a position as Assistant Principal of Rocky River High School, beginning in the 2024-25 school year. We are thankful for her service and wish her well in her new endeavor.”
The District will conduct a search and interview process to fill the administrator vacancies.
