October 21, 2023 — School bus transportation plays a critical role in the education of our nation's students and is the direct link between a neighborhood and the classroom. According to the National Association for Pupil Transportation, more than 25 million children ride the yellow bus every school day!
National School Bus Safety Week, held the third full week of October each year, serves as an important reminder for students, parents, teachers, and the community to keep school bus safety in the forefront. Together, we all make a difference for our community's children! This year’s theme set forth by the National Association for Pupil Transportation is: Driving Safely into the Future.
Year-round, our Chardon Transportation team always has student safety as its top priority. This is accomplished through the collaboration of the team's leadership — Director of Transportation Josh Nau and Transportation Supervisor Andy Caballero with bus and van drivers, bus assistants, bus and van mechanics, and dispatchers.
