Photo: Geauga County Mobile Library visits Munson Elementary

Oct. 15, 2024 (CHARDON, OH) — The Geauga County “Fun Bus” Mobile Library recently visited first graders at Munson Elementary to help them connect to their reading of “My Librarian is a Camel.” 

The classes have read the nonfiction text and "traveled" to countries like Australia, Finland and Kenya to find out how the children in those places get their books. 

“We have learned about semi-truck libraries, book boats, camel libraries and many more,” Mrs. Jeana Hardman, first grade teacher, said. 

The first grade classes of Mrs. Hardman, Mrs. McClintock and Mrs. Suszynski listened to Joya and Jill from the Geauga County Public Library, Chardon Branch and Mobile Services as they spoke about how they service readers all throughout Geauga County. They also read a book to the classes and gave students coloring books as well as applications for their very own library card.
