Mr. Paterniti, a Chardon High School graduate ('02), was elected to the Chardon Board of Education in November 2021.  He and his wife Casey reside in Chardon Township with their three daughters who attend Chardon Local Schools.

Mr. Paterniti is the president of D&S Automotive Collision and Restyling and also its sister company, Defender Auto Glass. 

He is a 2019 recipient of the United Way of Lake County’s 4 Under 40 award, which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated leadership, community involvement, entrepreneurship, and professional accomplishment.

Mr. Paterniti’s community service experience includes:

• Chardon Middle School 6th Grade Junior Achievement Program volunteer

• Auburn Career Center interim board member (July 2020 — December 2021) — filling the vacated spot resulting from the closure of Newbury Local Schools

• Strategic Planning Committee member for Chardon Local Schools’ Vision 2020

• Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce member
