Ohio's School District Report Card gives our community a snapshot of the progress of Chardon Local Schools in raising achievement and preparing students for the future. It is one of several tools the district uses to measure our schools' performances in areas critical to success in learning.
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) has altered several aspects of the 2016 report card from previous years, impacting districts across the state. The ODE has noted that comparisons between this year’s data and previous year’s data are difficult, because they are not “an apples to apples comparison” due to the use of new, more rigorous, performance assessments in Ohio. Also new this year are letter grades on each of the report cards' six components.
2019-20 District Report Card NOTE: Districts and schools report information for the Ohio School Report Cards on specific marks of performance, called measures, within broad categories called components. They receive grades for up to 10 measures and six components. The 2019-2020 report card will not have grades or ratings. Limited data is available due to the coronavirus pandemic and ordered school-building closure.
