Mrs. Blankenship's board-appointed role for the 2023 calendar year:
- Chardon Schools Foundation Liaison
Mrs. Blankenship was first elected to the Chardon Board of Education in November 2011 and was re-elected in November 2019 for a third consecutive term. She and her husband George have made Chardon their home since 1987. They are the proud parents of three Chardon graduates.
Mrs. Blankenship has an Associate degree in Data Processing and worked as a Computer Programmer/Systems Analyst.
She has been an active volunteer in Chardon Local Schools and the greater Chardon community. Her service activities include serving as a room parent at Munson Elementary where she was actively involved with the Munson PTO. In addition, she chaired the Chardon Middle School magazine fundraising drive, was head Football mom, and President of the Chardon Athletic Boosters.
Mrs. Blankenship has also been active with the Boy Scouts of America Munson Pack 91, Troop 91 and the Greater Western Reserve Council.
