After a highly successful dual-leadership run for 5 years, Chardon Athletic Boosters president and merchandise coordinator Mrs. Jenifer Goodwin will be passing the torch to new volunteer leadership, effective December 1, 2023. Mrs. Goodwin has served tirelessly and is looking forward to welcoming new leadership to take the reins.
OVERVIEW & NOTE OF GRATITUDE
Athletic Director Doug Snyder stated, “Profits from Topper Shop merchandise sales and other booster fundraisers provide uniforms and equipment for all the Hilltopper teams — spanning over 58 sports teams at the high school and middle school. I am grateful for the time and commitment that Jenifer has generously given to the Boosters to help make this possible.”

Mrs. Goodwin stated, “Volunteering with Boosters has been very rewarding, and I am proud of the success we have had raising money for the many teams we support. Also invaluable has been the sense of community and the friendships I have made because of my roles in the organization. I am excited for the next chapter of Booster leadership to experience this incredible program, whose mission is to support student athletes.”
FAQ
To be a Boosters volunteer, do I need to have a student in Chardon High School or Chardon Middle School?
No. Athletic Boosters represents student athletes from both CHS and CMS, and we welcome all interested volunteers, regardless of having a student in one of the schools.
CO-PRESIDENTS - SHARED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaison between the Athletic Boosters and the Athletic Department in regards to coaches' requests for uniforms and equipment.
- Manage and maintain Booster email account and social media communications
- Schedule monthly meetings the first Monday of every month, except for the months of December and July.
- Facilitate sponsorship requests for various advertising opportunities, including Stadium Banners, Gym Nights, Website Advertising, and Sports Programs.
- Coordinate with an outside advertising firm for the creation of the All Sports Programs offered in the Fall and Winter.
- Organize and recruit volunteers to help hang Stadium Banners and Senior Banners in August before the first home game.
- Assist the Athletic Director in the planning of the Meet the Topper Nights in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.
- Work with the Merchandise Coordinator on Topper Shop purchases, and assist at home games with sales and 50/50 raffles.
CO-MERCHANDISE COORDINATORS - SHARED RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Topper Shop!
- Taking inventory of our current stock.
- Ordering and transporting products from various local vendors.
- Selling merchandise at various home games for football, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse.
- Provide volunteers to work in the Topper Shop during games and special events.
- Monitoring online store and shipping orders.
- Completing financial paperwork and paying invoices.
