CMS Debuts EntrySign Visitor Check-In System
Safe and Secure Environments are Critical for All Stakeholders
November 18, 2023 — Chardon Schools debuted a new and improved visitor check-in system — EntrySign — at Chardon Middle School this month, representing phase II of the school's main entrance security vestibule installed in August. All visitors are required to use the EntrySign system prior to admittance to the building.
Superintendent Mike Hanlon stated, “EntrySign represents yet another important step in the District’s layered approach to enhancing the safety and security of the school environment, a key component of our Success Plan. The District's rollout of the EntrySign system will also extend to our other four school buildings."
EntrySign streamlines the building registration process for all visitors with such key features as:
- Efficient check-in via a system scan of the visitor's driver's license or State identification to conduct a background check
- Photo identification of the visitor
- Printed visitor photo badge
- Brief check-out process using the printed photo badge
- Automated record-keeping
Principal Adam Tomco stated, "We appreciate visitor cooperation in using the EntrySign system during visits to our school. The safety and security of our students and staff are of the utmost importance, and this system adds a measure in maintaining a secure learning environment."
