"Taps" in Honor of Veterans Day
Schools and Local Nursing Facility
November 11, 2023 — "Taps" was performed by several Chardon High School trumpet players during the school day on Nov. 10 in honor of Veterans Day. The solos and small ensembles took place during the school's morning announcements and also at Chardon Early Learning Center (308 Maple Ave.) and Chardon Healthcare Center skilled nursing facility (620 Water St.).
Thank you to Hilltopper students Aidan Bluemmel, Bella Lucha, Jared Pike, Kenan Rogers, Thomas Wilkinson, and David Williams for sharing your talents in this honorary way.
Special note of appreciation to CHC Director of Public Relations - Anissa Vilcheck - for offering this special service opportunity for our Hilltoppers and to CHS band director Melissa Lichtler for coordinating to make this community connection possible.
