January 5, 2024 — A warm welcome to the District’s three newly elected board of education members — Karen Blankenship, Andrea Clark and James Midyette — each of whom was elected in November to serve a four-year term spanning January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027.
Mrs. Blankenship is embarking on her fourth term with the District, while Mrs. Clark and Mr. Midyette are new to the Chardon BOE.
Oaths of office were administered at the Jan. 4 organizational meeting by Treasurer/CFO for Mrs. Blankenship and Mrs. Clark and by State of Ohio Notary Public Rachel Midyette for Mr. Midyette.
The organizational meeting also included Board members voting on elected and appointed roles for the 2024 calendar year. The results of those votes are as follows:
