April 20, 2024 (CHARDON, OHIO) — ADDISON SEESE, a Chardon High School senior and Boy Scouts of America Troop #5619 member, practiced creativity and initiative when she scraped off the old seat labels from over 300 Park Elementary Auditorium stadium seats and created and attached new, laser-engraved labels — an undertaking that spanned months and ultimately led to her earning the distinguished Eagle Scout Award.
The Goal
The goal of Addison's Eagle Scout Award project was to enhance seat number legibility for patrons and students attending music concerts, drama program performances, and school assemblies.
Addison stated, “Drama has always been a big part of my life, and I wanted to do something to put them both [drama and Scouts] together.”
Achievements
Scout Master Tonia Seese, as well as family and friends, collaborated with Addison to provide support for her Eagle Scout Award project. Prior to receiving the award this past fall, Seese completed 55 merit badges, despite the 21 merit badge requirement.

The Chardon Board of Education recognized Addison for her exceptional BSA achievements with a commendation presented by BOE president Karen Blankenship at the April 15 regular Board meeting.
