Welcome to the Chardon Local Schools' website. Throughout our rich traditions, we have been known for the excellence of our educational program. We appreciate and value the importance of helping each and every child succeed, and understand that by having a system where we hold ourselves accountable, we can continue to make great things happen.

In 2007, the Board of Education adopted a strategic plan that builds on this tradition of excellence while raising expectations for all students. Through shared commitment, thoughtful planning and a strong accountability system, we continue to build an even better educational program that will inspire our children to do their very best.

While we work to develop, deliver, and assess our instructional program to meet the individual learning needs of our children, we recognize that in order to realize our vision of educational excellence, we need to attract and retain the very best teachers, support staff, and administrative leaders.

We also recognize the important role our parents play in the education of their children and the need for active partnerships between home and school. In addition, the support of city and community leaders, citizens, businesses, nonprofit groups and local higher education institutions further our ability to offer optimal learning opportunities for our children.

With everyone’s active involvement and support, we can fulfill our mission and continue to make our schools an even better school district each and every year.
