7th Grade Parent Night
 Chardon High School will be hosting a parent/student presentation for all current 7th graders and their parents on March 6th at 6:30pm in the high school gym.  Come and learn more about the high school and what we have to offer at the high school.

Summer Opportunities: 
Looking for something to do this summer?  Interested in a paying internship or fantastic week staying on a college campus? 
Learning About Business is a great opportunities for sophomores or juniors to participate in a week long program filled with hands-on experience, projects, and opportunities to network with adults in Lake and Geauga County.  Students do not need to be planning to major in business to participte. 
 
We also have applications and information about Geauga Growth Partnership internships and Cleveland Clinic internships. 
 
 
 
 
 
ACT:
All juniors will be offered a free ACT on Tuesday March 20th.  Juniors do not need to do anything to register and the test will be administered during the regular school day.   
 

Seniors: 
  • If you have questions about college applications and/or Naviance please stop in and ask.
  •  There are many deadlines approaching- the first of which is November 1st - this is the priority scholarship deadline for many schools including Ohio State. 
  • When working on application please pay attention to how the school wants to receive ACT/SAT scores.  There are several schools that require the score be sent directly from the testing company. 
LEAF
Don't forget that Stephanie Kubec from LEAF is here on Thursdays.  She is planning to be here on Mondays starting in November.  Call the guidance office at 440-285-4060 to set up an appointment. 
 
FAFSA
The 2018-19 FAFSA is now available.  Deadlines vary by school.  Please check the school website for individual deadlines.  
 
 
 
Chardon High School utilizes Naviance, a college and career readiness platform that helps connect academic achievement to post-secondary goals. 
 
Using the program will greatly enhance and improve efficiency with sending transcripts and recommendations, as well as searching for schools and careers.  Seniors have all been introduced to Naviance and counselors will be working with underclassmen as the year goes on.

Advanced Placement (AP) Page: 
 
Please use the link above for all things AP. We will post updates, practice test information, test dates, prices, and deadlines as we prepare for the spring AP tests.
 
Attention seniors and parents:
Please make sure you're paying attention to application deadlines and giving us ample time to complete recommendations before the deadlines.
PSAT results will be in around the first week of December. We will notify students and parents and set up a meeting to explain the results.
