- Chardon Classrooms/Instructional Technology.

As of September 2, 2014, every student and teacher in Grades 3-12 has been provided with a Chromebook by the Chardon Local School District. This is the cornerstone of moving into a blended learning environment for our students...
 
Cheese/Sausage Sale
The Chardon Crescendo Club will hold their annual cheese and sausage sale from 9/11 - 9/26. 
CHS Homecoming Sept. 26/27
CHS Homecoming is the weekend of September 26/27. The Hilltoppers host Madison on Friday with the dance on Saturday night. 
Frankie Pinckard Named BOE Student Rep
Congrats to CHS Senior Frankie Pinckard who has been named Chardon School Board Student Representative for the 2014-2015 school year.  
NEW Online Forms for Parents
Parents can now go online to verify the directory information we have on file for their child(ren), make changes if necessary, and submit all beginning-of-the-year forms electronically

Given the ongoing measles and mumps outbreaks in Ohio, it's important to have your child vaccinated. Immunizations are the most effective way to prevent illness from preventable diseases.
 
Science Olympiad Teams Place at State Competition
Chardon's Science Olympiad Teams competed in the State competition this past weekend.  Division B (6th-9th grades), placed 3rd overall, while the Division C team (9th-12th grade) placed 11th.   
Chardon High Debuts Robotics Team
CHS Science teacher Tom Ciferno is excited to be leading the school's inaugural Robotics team, who participated in their first heart-racing, metal-mangling competition on Saturday, April 26th  
CHS Earns Silver Medal from US News and World Report
U.S. News and World Report’s recently released the 2014 Best High Schools rankings and once again Chardon High School made the grade, earning a silver medal ranking.
 
Fetchik is Named HS Principal of Year

Mr. Andy Fetchik of Chardon High School has been selected as Ohio’s 2015 High School Principal of the Year by the OASSA.

 
Make Up Time for Calamity Days
The District has added one half-hour to the end of each school day beginning on Wednesday, March 26 through Thursday, June 5th.

Science Olympiad Teams Advance to State
Chardon Science Olympiad sent three teams to the Regional Science Olympiad competition that took place at Case Western Reserve University, on Saturday Feb. 22, 2014.

Substitute Support Staff Positions Available
 The Chardon Schools are in need of substitute custodians, bus drivers (will train), cafeteria workers and secretaries. if you are interested, please fill out an application to get on our sub list.
 
CLSD Snow Day Procedures
Student Safety is always our top priority, so deciding when to call off school due to inclement weather begins as early as 3:30 AM  
2013 CHS Alumni & Athletic Hall of Fame
The Chardon Alumni Association and Chardon High School Athletic Department introduced the 2013 Hall of Fame honorees during the pre-game festivities at the football game on Friday, September 13th. The school district hosted a reception for honorees and their friends and family prior to the start of the outdoor festivities.
 
CHS Instructional Fees
Chardon High School charges a nominal instructional fee to cover costs of workbooks and lab supplies. These fees can be paid online at our payschools site.
 
Details on New State Report Card
The state report card for schools were released on Thursday, August 22nd. They have a new look this year, with letter grades and different measurements.  
Stay Safe - Speak Up!
Telling is not tattling when safety is at stake! Stay Safe-Speak Up is an online, anonymous reporting system and helpline that encourages students to communicate with adults.
